Sea Island, Georgia Cottage.
Interior Architecture - 2024
I was drawn towards this project of this beautiful cottage on Sea Island that shows exactly the opposite.
Adding on to a previous architect’s work, by expanding the space with a new Sunroom and a Screened Porch addition. The client’s vision was to make these new rooms seem as if they were always there while adding new unique details, and maintaining the existing patina.
To achieve this, we focused on matching the existing flagstone flooring and adding whimsical Dorothy Draper-inspired trim details and a custom plaster fireplace. For the screened porch, we maintained the same original brick flooring pattern and added a vintage-inspired picket detail and bar rail. The piece de résistance of the two spaces are six of the Old Beach Club, Ocean Room tole palm trees now lovingly restored and placed around the sunroom to provide homage to the old Sea Island aesthetics.

Interior Architecture - ongoing 2025
The client hired me to develop the total renovation of this 5-bedroom condo on Sea Island. Although the client was acting as the interior designer with the aid of Interior Designer Suzanne Kasler, the challenge was to implement the ideas in architecture language so the project could be priced and built.
